A highly acclaimed accompanist and performer, Mr. Wingrove is one of the countrys most exciting and sought after pianists. He has created a collection o CDs Called Musical Gems for Ballet Class, which are used by teachers throughout the world. They combine a sense of musicality, versatility, humour, sensitivity, variety, and excitement for the Ballet Class.
Mr. Wingroves expertise with repertoire and improvising makes for a truly exciting product. He is constantly inspiring dancers of the very highest level.
He has worked with and continues to work with the countries leading artists and teachers. Some of his working associates include Karen Kain, Rex Harrington, James Kudelka, Glenn Gilmore, Frank Augujtys, and Susan Farrell.
Mr. Wingrove has been a full-time accompanist at the National Ballet School in Toronto, Canada for 15 years. He is also a regular guest pianist for the National Ballet of Canada. He is also a favourite for international guests artists.
He has performed throughout Canada, the United States and Europe and continues to broaden his horizons. Other musical ventures of note include being Musical director, manager, keyboardist for Bobby Souls, Formerly the latter and header of his group Legacy. He has also written music for 6 musicals and some Pop/Rock Opera for Children with the Really Little Theatre company headed by Thom Currie.
He composed and performed Northern Lights a concerto for two pianos. This world premeire was performed in Toronto, Canada with Marina Sungam, principal pianist of the National Ballet School. One of his songs from the Musical Gems 3 (Improvisation #4) is featured in a movie called The Man starring Samuel L. Jackson and Eugene Levy.
Craig is one of those rare talents who can play in every musical style be it classical, blues, baroque, impressionist romantic.
